18 months later...

It turns out that I cannot be relied upon to keep up a consistent blog. It's been 18 months since last I posted, and boy how our lives have changed. A quick update for those who have hung in there: Mary worked for Disney, then she didn't work for Disney. I worked for a private equity company and then I didn't work for said company. We purchased our first home (and hopefully our last). What am I forgetting??? Oh yes, we have a very lovely little girl named Emma Reese Goldberg who was born on July 3, 2009. She's turning 1 in a couple of weeks.

Mary now works for Legacy Energy up in Carpinteria, CA, and I'm back wreaking havoc at KPMG. We're coming up on our two year anniversary at our "new" home. I'm not sure when you stop calling it, "new," but it still feels that way to us as there are still quite a few barren walls. We've decided that we picked the wrong room for Emma, but both of us are dragging our feet on painting another room purple (and then re-painting the first room).

While Mary no longer works for Disney, we have introduced Emma to Mickey and friends. She is much fonder of the animal characters (i.e., Mickey and Pooh) than the "real" characters (i.e., princesses or fairies). We just got back from vacation in San Diego/Disneyland. We hold the claim to picking the one week to vacation in San Diego without a lick of sunshine. Hence, the added trip to Disneyland.

I'd like to say that this is going to be a regular thing - me posting to this blog...however, you know me better than that. Until next time...
